Now tell us something we don't know

I hate to be a smart_ _ _ but really. Here is my favorite headline for today, "Optimal Nutrition,Physical Activity Recommended After Cancer Diagnosis".

Duh!

Let's see, here is a list of some of the foods that help prevent cancer (scientific studies back this up, if you want links let me know).
  • blueberries
  • strawberries
  • fish
  • spinach
  • broccoli
  • green tea
  • oranges
  • flax seed
  • carrots
  • whole wheat
  • brown rice
  • asparagus
Now I ask you...does this list contain french fries? NO. Does this list contain candy? NO. Does this list contain a big, fat steak? NO. And no butter, no bacon, no Coke, no frosted cup cakes, no refined pasta.

Maybe the headline is a last-ditch effort to get people to understand how important good nutrition and physical activity are to health. But come on if you don't already know this you are living in the dark ages.

Face it folks,

  1. Healthy food makes you healthy. Unhealthy food makes you unhealthy.
  2. Use it or lose it. I'm referring to your body and your life. Get up and live.
No complicated relationships here. If you are one of those who already get this, share it with someone who doesn't.
